☄ First Impressions

♚ VISUAL: Dio stands at 6 feet flat and 144 pounds. Classically ectomorph, his muscle is only slightly defined. A pinkish complexion and long, chiseled face come from his Germanic descent. His eyes are turquoise blue with a slightly almond shape. His dark blonde hair is more than neck length and is gathered in two braids hanging in front of his shoulders; his face is shaved religiously.
♚ FASHION: Black, red, and gold are Dio's favored colors, with grays and greens and browns for variety. The shades and fabrics are bold and thick. He wears long pants exclusively, usually with prominent belts if not a waist stole. Shirts are often loose but rarely not accessorized somehow. A hat adds to his height, such as a black top hat.
His default outfit is as follows. Black shirt with a couple widely spaced buttons, fairly plunging neckline with sheer fabric. Wide red silk stole (but wrapped into a circle like a scarf) hanging around his neck tied in a circle; a second similar stole tied around his waist, fringed ends hanging off the left hip, with gold chain accents. Silver pants tucked into high black gold-chained boots that do not reveal steel gray socks. A red longcoat with black and gold decoration; deep green interior lining. Dio also wears a gold chain necklace, and this will remain in the mall.
♚ DEMEANOUR: Dio is that guy who puts a pinky out when he's drinking from a stemmed glass, and uses a handkerchief, but also manspreads on the subway and doesn't move out of the way first on the sidewalk, partly because of the heavy boots he tends to wear. His nails are clipped. His motions are flamboyant, such as jazz hands or pointing a single finger, without being considerate of other's space. The overall impression is that Dio gathered his mannerisms from several isolated sources, instead of a single specific role model.
♚ SOUND: Here is a clip from the English version of the game, where he is played by Liam O'Brien. This is the timbre that I will be using as what his voice literally sounds like, as I believe that English is the language being spoken in-universe, American-accented in his case. Dio speaks rather loudly, taking initiative and casually cursing or insulting. There's obvious stammering whenever he's genuinely flustered; conversely he doesn't really hesitate to bluster whatever comes to mind during his typical confident moods.
Here is a clip from the original Japanese version where he is played by Yoshimasa Hosoya. As anyone would suspect when familiar with Hosoya's character type, the speech is futsutai and yobisute; "ore" and "omae" are used, with frequent temperamental slips into "temee", "ze", and the like.
♚ SCENT: When he has it readily available in the mall, cologne, clumsily applied in excess, something like Yves d'Orgeval's Opposition. Underneath, rope and leather and metal. No animal scent of any kind.
♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: No shields and no mental supernatural ability of his own. In fact, his mind has been read again and again. Contains a lot of information about which he isn't forthcoming.
♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: None.

☄ OOC

♚ BACKTAGGING: As this game will have several posts a week, threads over seven days old may be dropped unless there is special consideration - which I'm happy to dispense, just ask. I am also always here for starting new threads that occurred in old prompts, as long as the new thread would still be the chronologically latest thread for the involved characters.
♚ FOURTHWALLING: No thank you!
♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Feel free without asking to integrate anything less than a hug or a kiss, and even for those I will likely say yes when asked. Dio is not himself forthcoming with much besides a fist bump or high five, and even these are a little awkward.
♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I have some triggers but overall it's good. Dio is absolutely a rowdy and defensive type, even against women and children. His limbs are thin and easily broken, though.
♚ RELATIONSHIPS: The best way to put this is as follows: I've examined the roster in 15S, and matters like age-ranges have me sure that shipping is not going to be a possibility for this character.

☄ Permissions

♚ SPOILERS: Virtue's Last Reward is a canon that relies on the premise of bringing together a group of strangers and seeing how many of them commit shocking actions. To a certain extent, the experience is tarnished by acquiring any advance information about a character, such as in a murder game, whether they're a victim or culprit or hopeful survivor. That said, I'll be marking spoilers on more specific, late-breaking, fantastical elements of the canon. And if you want to opt out of receiving tags in that vein, you can tell me.
♚ CONTENT WARNINGS: Discussion of murder is a given in a murder game, but Dio is also likely to bring up suicide, mass murder, and violence against (or. by.) children, speaking in a manner cavalier to the point of verbal harassment, about these topics or just in general. If you need me to tone this down in tags to you (for example the word "bitch" not used), let me know.
♚ EVEN MORE SEVERE SPOILERS AND CONTENT WARNINGS: I've put these into a textarea below because these are pretty disturbing concepts that I don't think need to be read randomly, and unlikely to be directly relevant in the game.

Firstly, the creator of the game was once asked why Dio pointed a knife at a female character and replied, "Well, originally Dio was planning to do something even more messed up to Clover, but our president said NO to that idea for ethical reasons, so that scene was cut out. That’s why Dio pointed his knife towards Clover." Many fans interpreted "something even more messed up" as sexual assault and have expressed discomfort with seeing fanwork depicting Dio at all. I just want to reassure everyone that content of this type would never be portrayed in Fifteen Strangers for any reason, just like how in the final game Dio never perpetrates sexual assault or even sustained sexual harassment. Furthermore, recently there emerged credible rumors that the unused scene in question was in fact planned to be a mere violent torture scene.
Secondly, the overall content in context is still pretty different from historical organizations, but no matter how supernaturally you slice this, Dio has lines in Virtue's Last Reward about genetic superiority and mass murders to purge the earth. Again, this is unlikely to come up in Fifteen Strangers; for one thing, it's not like it's in Dio's best interest to tell people, as he's aware that decent society doesn't condone this. 
Thirdly, sometimes I say in meta that Dio was abused as a child. This is based on the information in game that from birth his guardians raised him in isolation from wider society, preparing for a suicide mission; and it is absolutely abusive to tell a child to commit suicide. However, this is a personal and sensitive matter.
